Most of the availability of meth and crystal meth in Ohio is sourced through the small meth labs that are present in various clandestine areas of the state. Here the substance is prepared by one or two people, usually belonging to the same family, from substances such as cough syrups containing pseudo ephedrine and ephedrine, antifreeze and lantern fuel, etc. These small labs can each produce as many as five to ten pounds of the substance in a day.
